Study Fashion

QUT delivers the only bachelor degree in fashion in Queensland as well as unique opportunities in research and creative practice development. Students who study fashion are encouraged to explore their individuality and develop design skills to match their aspirations, through conceptually driven, studio based fashion courses.

Final year students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Fashion) have the opportunity to showcase their work to industry and to undertake an industry internship and business planning project.

Students have completed exchanges on scholarship to Milan and Amsterdam, have travelled to New York on study tours and have undertaken internships in London, Hong Kong and New York.

Career Outcomes

Graduates impact the burgeoning Brisbane fashion scene and successfully launch their careers internationally. They excel as independent designers and as designers in larger fashion houses. Others work as fashion stylists, international trend forecasters and product development managers, living and working in cities all over the world; from London to Sydney, Brisbane to Paris. Pathways to further study, including honours and research degrees are available.
