Dance courses at QUT boast an enviable reputation and continue to lead in developing the creative passions of Australia's future dance artists and educators.

A nurturing environment and state-of-the-art facilities allow students who study dance to extend their talents in creating and performing. Connect with lively professional and global networks through performance experiences, secondment opportunities, guest lecturers and choreographers, and international touring and exchange opportunities. Teaching staff have real-world experience in an extensive range of dance practices and are active in the dance community through Ausdance, Australian Dance Awards, adjudication panels and in international organisations.

Career Outcomes

Graduates have performed with Australian and International Dance companies including: The Australian Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre, Bangarra Dance Company, Queensland Ballet, Chunky Move, Sydney Dance Co., TasDance, Western Australian Ballet, Aterballeto Italy, Birmingham Royal Ballet UK, Moulin Rouge France, Singapore Dance Theatre, and Dance Forum Thailand.
