For research students
There are a number of research degrees available at the Creative Industries Faculty including the PhD, masters programs, honours and postgraduate coursework programs.
Doctor of Philosophy (Creative Industries)
Doctoral studies focus on issues of real world significance with an orientation towards industry and community partnerships. Much postgraduate research is applied in nature and a lively research training program encourages collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches.
Master of Arts (Research)
Master of Arts (Research) candidates draw on a wide range of research traditions but increasingly candidates are using practice-led research in the design of their studies.
Honours programs
- Bachelor of Creative Industries (Honours) with majors in Interactive and Visual Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Interdisciplinary, Media and Communication, Visual Arts.
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) with majors in Interactive and Visual Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Fashion, Film and Television, Visual Arts.

IGNITE 08! (PDF, 2.9MB)
IGNITE 08! was a showcase of Creative Industries postgraduate research. It featured papers, presentations and workshops from the domains of: dance; music and sound; performance studies; creative writing and literary studies; visual arts; fashion; film and television; journalism; and animation, interactive and visual design.
A major exhibition of postgraduate creative practice in The Block exhibition space at Kelvin Grove campus launched the three days of formal discussion and social events. Peer reviewed papers will be published in a special edition of ejournalist. Our next IGNITE conference will be held in 2010.
