Undergraduate Course
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts)
This studio-based course will prepare you for
work as a professional practising artist. You
will be encouraged to explore independent
approaches to art practice across a variety of
media, in addition to developing your art-historical
knowledge of modern and contemporary creative
practice. You will study core units and produce
your own work in studio practice units.
Bachelor of Creative Industries (Visual Arts)
This course will prepare you to work within the
visual arts in a range of vocations. In addition
to 12 units of visual arts study, you may take a
further eight units in a complementary creative
industries discipline focused on a professional
outcome such as creative writing, journalism,
communication design, or studies from other
faculties.
Bachelor of Creative Industries (Visual Arts)/Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
This four-year double degree qualifies graduates to teach as artist teachers in secondary school art in Australian schools.
Bachelor of Creative Industries (Interdisciplinary) with a sub-major in Art and Visual Culture
The Art and Visual Culture sub-major offers six subjects in visual culture and art theory. Subjects offered include Australian and Indigenous Art, Modernism, Contemporary Asian Visual Culture, Contemporary Art Issues and Video Art & Culture.
