QUT Creative Industries is such a place, offering courses and research opportunities within a creative community.
The Creative Industries Faculty is leading the way in the development of the creative industries in Queensland and nationally, and has a reputation as an internationally networked hub of creative enterprise.
The Faculty's academic programs include some of the highest-demand undergraduate courses at QUT. Specialist degrees across a range of creative study areas include the Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Media and Communication degrees. Unique to QUT is the Bachelor of Creative Industries, which equips graduates with diverse knowledge, creativity and professional skills across a range of industries and practice.
Research at the Creative Industries Faculty is enhanced through association with the Australasian Cooperative Research Centre for Interaction Design (ACID) and the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation.The Creative Industries Faculty is also the lead agency in the Institute for Creative Industries and Innovation (iCi), a multi-faculty research institute at QUT.
